Why WOLE ARISEKOLA Is Called The People's President.

This article "The People's President" is a true reflection of a man who has been more than a President to this nation, sometimes I say he is the President we never had, a man who thinks about the warfare of the people. He never discriminate, he is kindhearted and loving, jokes and play with even the downtrodden because he believes we are all one before God almighty, I am talking about no one else but Aare Wole Arisekola.

Born into a wealthy background, with lineage link to the late Alhaji Abdul Azeez Arisekola-Alao’s rich and influential dynasty, one would easily assume and conclude that he has no reason to ‘align’ himself or business with the masses, but interestingly, he seems to be different. Despite his long sojourn outside Nigeria, in Dublin, Republic of Ireland to be precise, Wole Arisekola’s passion, commitment and determination towards making Nigeria better is quite impressive. When in Dublin, he simultaneously eats, live and thinks of Nigeria; and is always guided and inspired by the burning desire that Nigeria can definitely and would still be a better place to live in. In Dublin and across the United Kingdom, Wole’s principled stand on social injustice has earned him the sobriquet; ‘Mr. Controversy’.  Having lived his early life in Ibadan, Oyo State, before proceeding to the United Kingdom to further his education, Wole, today, sits atop a business conglomerate as well as being the Publisher/CEO of the popular and high-profile magazine; ‘Street Journal.’ A lifestyle magazine with special focus on metro and other sundry issues that affects Nigerians in the Diaspora, the magazine is a household name in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Nigeria and Europe.

Aare Wole Arisekola have in the recent years carries the borden of so many Nigerian's on his shoulders as he finds it difficult to look away from the helpless poor and needy. In his words " its breaks my heart to see people suffer"---Wole Arisekola.  His influence rises above what many can comprehend as politicians flocks around his house during election period to seek his support.

He created the famous Wole Street Journals Forum, a non-political group formed to fight unemployment and chart a course for the youth, has not only grown in status, it has also won various awards. Wole, who is also the Chairman of Allied Properties and Okebadan Oil and Gas, said he had formed the WSJF to create a forum of like-minds, not knowing that it would become the voice and strength of the Nigerian youth.

Wole Street journals forum that is popularly called WSJF has impacted lives and educates many, it has helped and blessed so many people in the country with the tireless and relentless effort of Aare Wole Arisekola, those who knows WSJF will agree that its a force to reckon with as they are made up of sound minds and intellectual people.

List of what Wole Arisekola has done for the WSJF group is endless also what he has done through the group is overwhelming.

Monetary assistance to many individual that genuinely needs it to do the following.

Pay children school fees
Pay house rents.
Start up a Business
Pay hospital bills
Even Donations to the tune of 5million Naira to patients that needed to fly abroad for medical treatment.
He did all this things for mostly people he has never met or seen before.

The beauty of it all is that they won't have to pay back.

The WSJF family with the help of Aare Wole Arisekola has blessed many communities with "Boreholes". Relieving the communities from suffering to get a clean portable water. The most amazing truth is that 80% of this Boreholes are built outside his state, in several other states that has got nothing to do with him or his family lineage. He willingly did it to relief the people from suffering any further.

Mr Wole Arisekola has created so much employment for youths, and he has also linked countless of people in the  right in the world of business. The list of his kind gesture is endless.

Sometimes I wish this man is the President of this country, because he has done for the masses what the so called Government have never done even without holding any public office.

I am not just praising this kind-hearted man but encouraging other prominent people in-other to emulate Mr Wole Arisekola's  kind gesture and make our country a better place. Government alone can not do it. God bless Nigeria.

Wole Arisekola is the people's President.

Hold PDP responsible for continuous fuel scarcity – Tinubu tells Nigerians

Following the lingering fuel scarcity that has continued to ravage the nation, the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has asked Nigerians to hold the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, responsible.
Tinubu while addressing newsmen in Lagos at the weekend said PDP destroyed Nigeria during its 16-year rule by refusing to pursue what was necessary for the growth and development of the country.
He said, “We want to stay focused and redirect Nigeria. We want to reverse the decay of 16 years. We are hearing comments from the PDP left and right. We are saying we want to clear the mess they created. For 16 good years, the PDP destroyed the country. We should not be lamenting over petrol queues today if they had seen what was necessary and done what was necessary for this country.
“We can’t be emotional and live in self-denial. They should have done the Awolowo Road and the Lagos/Ibadan Expressway. If they put priority on our railroad, if they put priority on electricity generation and distribution, we will not be in this mess today.”
The former Lagos State Governor, who also dismissed the claim that Nigerians were dissatisfied with the current APC-led Federal Government, noted that people only wanted to see the direction of the government’s economic policy.
“Nigerians are not impatient with the APC government; they just want to see the direction of the economic policy and want to be certain of the future. They want to be assured that we will not continue the leaderless, directionless and hopelessness of the past 16 years.
“The fact is that Nigerians do not want the importation of toothpicks to continue, we can make toothpicks out of our bamboo trees. Nigeria does not want to import rice or plastic. Nigeria does not want to continue in the direction of the past 16 years. What did they leave behind in our account? Why should certain things that we bring into this country become our priority? Why do we have to import those things that we can produce? The country needs surgical operation in the hands of a very honest Nigerian,” Tinubu said.

Youths massively embrace BOI’s N10bn YES programme

In view of the highly positive response to the N10 billion Youth Entrepreneurship Support (YES) programme of the Bank of Industry (BOI), that was launched in the middle of March by the Minister of Industry Trade and Investment, Dr. Okechikwu Enelama, the Federal Government might have found a panacea to the problem of youth unemployment in the country.
According to BOI’s Acting Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Waheed Olagunju, the fact that the bank received more 13,272 online applications as at April 1, 2016, – two weeks after the scheme was launched, which is in excess of the 10,000 applications that were projected to be filed in six weeks, is an indication of the wide acceptance of the YES programme among Nigerian Youths across the country as shown by the geo-political analysis of the applicants.
Olagunju was particularly pleased to note that the North East is leading with 1,300 applicants, followed by South West with 1,150 and North Central with 663.

Also, North West accounted for 634 of the applications, while 526 applications were received from South South and South East recorded the lowest with 204.

BOI’s chief further explained that considering the enthusiastic response to the scheme at this early stage, the bank and its eleven partnering enterprise development institutions were taking proactive steps to increase the number of the applicants that would attend the five-day capacity building sessions at eight centres in the six geo political zones of the country.

He added that the fund size would also be increased to meet the increasing number of applicants that could potentially be transformed into successful entrepreneurs in the required critical mass and ultimately employers of labour

ASUU warns against plan to privatise universities

The Bauchi State coordinator of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Prof Nanmwa Voncir, has warned against what he called the satanic plan by the Federal Government to privatise public universities in the country.
Voncir, who urged Nigerians to resist the plan, said, “We shall do everything within our powers to stop the drift towards privatisation of public universities in Nigeria,’ warning that the ‘current industrial peace in the universities should not be endangered by the planned action of the Federal Government.”
Addressing a press conference yesterday at the ASUU Secretariat, in Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), he said federal universities are currently facing the challenges of inadequate funding, especially personal and over head cost.
“The Federation Government has continued to cut down the funding of universities, especially the capital and over-head cost, leading to dilapidated infrastructure, equipment and facilities,” he said.

The don restated that but for Tetfund, public universities and indeed public tertiary education, would have been a forgotten issue, or at best become glorified secondary schools.
The university teacher lamented that inadequate funding, have made it difficult for universities to pay the monthly salaries of their staff, as and when due. “We view this as an attempt by federal government to start the privatisation of the Universities,” he added.
According to him, the closure of all university staff primary schools, and the sacking of staff in the affected schools, was a direct confrontation with the union.
He said the union would soon react to that, because the schools were established based on negotiation and agreement with the union in 1992, urging government to abide by the agreement.

Linda Ikeji Fires Back in Response to Wizkid Calling Her a B*tch

Linda Had to say her part of the story, while she keeps on calling WizKid a Child.

So my darling little ‘friend’ Wizkid came on my IG page this morning to blast me for writing yesterday that he was given quit notice at the Lekki home he claimed he bought some years ago, which he actually rented. He threatened to beat me up…called me an ugly old bitch…(I’m ugly? lol) says I don’t have a man (crying over that..) and called my mum a loser…(what a child).

Anyway, all that don’t matter, people have said worse to me…what I wanted to address is the part where he said I slept with his director and he left me in a hotel…that one I will definitely want to address because some people actually believe it. That my dear friends, is a lie! Please continue…
  ‎
First and foremost, I’ve never met Wizkid one on one. I’ve only seen him once in real life on stage at a show a few years ago. I’ve never met anybody who is his director. Guess he put that line in his comments to defame me. You that mad that people now know the house is not yours? Lol.

Trust me, if I knew someone was Wizkid’s director, I’d rather kill myself than sleep with him or any other entertainer for that matter (except maybe he’s my husband..hehe) because I know how some of these entertainers are…they kiss and tell a lot. You can’t afford to be messing around in their circle. So, no, I have NEVER slept with Wizkid’s director. I live a celibate life..most of the time. (Though, that has to end soon…I’m getting old and missing out on that part of life…lol)

I’ve always been an advocate of women respecting their bodies and owning their own. And I feel sex should only happen when you’re in committed relationship (that is if you can’t wait till marriage) and I recommend celibacy for a long as you’re not committed to someone. There’s absolutely no dignity in sleeping around and messing around with different men. It’s ugly and God don’t like ugly. So no, I’m not that woman, and will never be that woman. Nice try, Wizkid!

Having said that, I’m sure, you wonder why Wizkid is so mad at me? To be honest, I don’t know either. All I know is that his beef with me started a long time ago but he decided to start bashing me online after I refused a meeting with him. A few months ago, he asked his PR people to contact me, that he wanted to talk to me. For some reason, he thought I didn’t like him and I was hurting his image online. He wanted to see how I could write more positive things about him but I turned down the meeting. Not that I have anything against him, I sincerely don’t! I think he’s an amazing talent and one of the few music stars in Nigeria with a midas touch. So this wasn’t personal. I just didn’t want to meet him. If he lobbies me then it means I won’t be able to write anything about him anymore…and my job is to write…about everything, including entertainers.

I am cordial with some of them…many of them I have never met. I try to stay away from gatherings where they are because the more friends you make in the entertainment industry, the less you can write. And that will inadvertently affect your work. The few ones that I call acquaintances, it’s hard to write about them because you feel you’re cool with them and even when you write, they call you to complain. So, the fewer ‘friends’ I have in the entertainment industry, the better my job will be.

So Wizkid can bash me all he wants…but I will continue to do my job. Maybe he thinks the more he bashes me, then I will stop writing about him? Won’t work. But meanwhile, if he tells a lie about me, I will address it. LIB plans to be around for a long time…some of these people will come and go! :-).

Thanks everyone and Wizkid fans for reading my response.

Oh and by the way, did I mention that his Porsche car is also on hire purchase? Oh shit, I just mentioned that! And no, darling, you’re not 25! We know your real age! Continue to have an amazing career while I watch and continue to celebrate you.
Kisses
Wow............She really showed her ability of writing nice articles as she made it known to  fans that she doesn't know why Wizkid is bashing her.
Hmmmm........How do they settle this now, Dangote settled Olamide and Don jazzy, who do you think will settle this recent beef between  LIB and Star Boy?
Drop your thoughts.........

7 Punchlines from Wizkid to Linda O.M.G

In February 2016, Nigerian singer Wizkid took a shot at popular blogger, Linda Ikeji following the opinion of a Lagos lawyer, Olajide Akinola who wrote on the recent Linda Ikeji Hermes bag drama and described Linda as ‘suffering from poverty mentality’.

Yesterday April 2, the blogger broke the news that the ‘Ojuelegba’ hitmaker has allegedly been served a ‘Quit Notice’ by his landlady to vacate his current residence in Lekki, Lagos over unpaid rent.

This morning, Starboy responded by commenting on the blogger’s post on IG, where she flaunts her ‘favourite new bag’, Fendi.
Below are 7 punchlines from the response:
1. All those shoes and bags still won’t help u keep a good man.

2. U and ur laptop will stay married for life

3. My director fucked u and left ur stinking ass in the hotel Cos ur pussy stinks
Jesus!!!!!!!!

4. I goggled ‘Linda at 25’ and found nothing

5. Ur mom and ur entire family are still losers

6. U nothing but a blogger, all that money won’t change that

The last one O.M.G Wizkid is should try and control his words please........its Linda ooohh
And he has mentioned her family ahhh Wizzyyy.....
7. If I ever see u, I’ll get my 16 year old cousin to beat the shit out of you
The beef continues......

Job scam: Woman arrested for extorting N700,000 from applicant in Abuja

A 35-year-old woman was on Friday arrested by the police in Kubwa, Abuja for allegedly duping a neighbour of N700,000 with the promise of securing a job for him with the Federal Civil Service, Daily Trust reports.
The victim, simply identified as Chuks, is a staff of a private firm who sought for a government job and had approached the suspect.

The woman, a civil servant identified only as Uloma, was said to have deceived the job seeker that she could assist him secure a job at the cost of N700,000.

A police source said Chuks initially paid the sum of N500,000 into her bank account, with a promise of lodging the balance in a few days’ time.

“The man later paid the balance and was offered an appointment letter by the suspect but which he later discovered to be fake,” the police source added, noting that the suspect was later arrested following a complaint made by the victim to the Kubwa police division.

Reports allege that Uloma denied the allegation during police interrogation.

She was, however, later indicted after a search was carried out in her house, where another fake appointment letter with the same signature was discovered.

Confirming the incident, the Kubwa Divisional Police Officer, DPO, Chief Superintendent Nuruddeen Sabo, said the suspect would be charged to court.

Sabo said she was in police custody.

Lagos acquires more hectares of land to boost agriculture

The Lagos State Commissioner for Agriculture, Toyin Suarau, on Saturday said the state had acquired 2,134 hectares of land from neighbouring states to promote agriculture.
Saurau said this at an Agriculture Seminar organised in Lagos by the Buhari Youth Organisation, with theme: “Repositioning Agriculture for Youths Empowerment, Rural and Economic Development.”
The commissioner, who was represented by Oladeji Alao, the General Manager of Lagos State Coconut Development Authority, said the state government had invested much in agriculture to empower youths.
He said: “Before 1960, Nigeria was an agrarian society. We are suffering because of our over reliance on oil. Many countries used the resources from agriculture to build structures.
“The average age of a Nigerian farmer today is about 55, which means youth have a role to play in agriculture to bring the nation back to the path of fortune.
“Lagos State has 84 hectares of land in Osogbo, out of which 20 hectares is used for palm produce, while others are used for rice farm, cassava and mills.
“We have also acquired 1,000 hectares of land in the same Osun, 500 hectares in Ogun and Oyo each and 50 hectares in Abuja to encourage farming.”
According to Saurau, the state has developed estate farming and cluster farming because of the challenge of space in the state.
He said the state had fishery estates, poultry estates, vegetable estates and Green House Technology to guard wastages.
He added: “As part of the state government’s effort to attract youths into agriculture, we have agric youth empowerment scheme and provision for irrigation facility.
“Our loan for agric must be single digit if we want to make agric attractive to youths. The interest rate must not be high, hence it will not be profitable.”
The Guest Speaker, Isaac Oluyi, while delivering a lecture entitled: “Reclaiming the Lost Paradise Through Agricultural Entrepreneurship,” called for the use of technology in agriculture business.
Oluyi said: “For agriculture to be attractive, it must be driven by technology.

“We can make use of technology to change our fortune through agriculture.
“Agriculture has gone beyond hoes and cutlasses.
“Resourceful youths should understand that agric is a good business and youth must have entrepreneurial mindset.
“We need people with creative minds.
“Agriculture is not about food production, but about environment, innovation and technology, about collecting storage processing, packaging, marketing, financing, training, mentoring and many other things.
“Hunger is a problem that many youths can proffer solution to and make fortune.”
Oluyi urged youths to stop complaining but rather engage in crop cultivation, animal rearing, processing, distribution, marketing and many others.
In his words, Khalil Aminu, the National President of BYO, said the organisation was aimed at initiating ideas and programmes in line with the “Change Agenda” of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Aminu said: “No economic growth can be attained with underpowered youths.
“The Lagos BYO initiative has embarked on novel and timely venture, which aligns with the policy trust of the Federal Government.”
The BYO boss, who called on Nigerians to support the government’s policies, mandated other states to emulate the stride of the Lagos State chapter.
Lucy Ajayi, the National Vice President of the organisation, said countries were making big money from agriculture.
Ajayi said if only Nigeria could go into agriculture, the problem of unemployment would be a thing of the past.
She said: “We can feed ourselves as a nation and export products if 100 million of us can go into agriculture.”
According to her, the organisation has acquired 100 hectares and 125 hectares of land in Lagos and Ogun States respectively for BYO’s Agricultural Cooperative Society Scheme.
Earlier, Prince Wale Oyekoya, the Chairman, Agriculture, Lagos Chambers of Commerce and Industry, urged all states to take advantage of agriculture to improve on their Internally Generated Revenue.
