Richard Nyong boss of Lekki Gardens, who was arrested on March 11, 2016 over the collapse of a five storey building in Lekki that killed about 35 people, has been released on bail.
Chief Superintendent of Police Mr. Eno-Edobor Thomas had requested that Nyong remained in jail while investigations were concluded but a Magistrate court in Ebute Metta granted him bail.
Confirming his release, Cool FM OAP, Freeze who has been an advocate for his release wrote, ‘GOD is indeed faithful. Like I earlier said, I am not saying he shouldn’t be tried, my emphasis lies greatly on a fair trial, without stripping away his dignity. Also the alleged human rights violation/abuse reported in this case (which I won’t talk about in this post) is another thing I am absolutely against!
