The National Business and Technical Examination Board (NABTEB) on Friday said it would collaborate with the Nigeria Automobile Technicians Association (NATA) to get its members certified.
Mr Mohammed Muktar, the NABTEB Coordinator in Lagos State, disclosed this in an interview in lagos.
Muktar said that the certification of NATA artisans would enable them get the Modular Trades Certificate (MTC), which is equivalent to the City and Guilds of London.
He said that many Nigerian artisans were able to use the MTC certification overseas because its rich curriculum enhanced its international recognition.
“NABTEB is known in the whole of Africa and other African countries even send representatives to come and learn our modular trades.
“The modular trade test is designed to meet the needs of the skilled and talented, who do not have enough formal education but are eager to develop themselves and become globally competitive,’’ he said
